Team work Is hard Work. Getting on The same page shouldn't be.
Leader and Team Collaboration. Simplified.
Leader and Team Collaboration. Simplified.
It's tough for teams these days, for many reasons:
Collaboration promises results, but even that's harder than usual.
If a team's outlook isn't bleak, it's not encouraging.
Change your team's conversation about select situations to pool what individuals know into a group knowledge. Follow a simple question technique to dig deeper into issues. Deal with differences to make solutions more creative. What's more, your teams will love it and want to do it all the time.
For 30 years I've worked on, worked with, led, and consulted to teams. In government, companies, and not-for-profits.
I've watched teams argue over them, avoid them, and spit over them. Few understood collaboration came from differences. Few knew how to use them. Team training helped, but it took people out of the office and didn't deliver enough ROI.
I developed Team Collaboration Coaching to solve that problem. To simplify collaboration and deliver results in one meeting. There are three ways I can help:
Here I coach leaders (at any organizational level) by alternating their team interaction with our calls, in real-time. The leader models collaboration behavior for the team to learn. This is best for most teams.
Here I coach a small team, individually and collectively, to practice new collaboration or conflict resolution behaviors. This is appropriate for sensitive situations and project turn-arounds.
Looking back on work that didn't go well and debating what happened? Here I coach a team through a proper review to understand how it managed differences well - or not so well - and what to do next time.
Many things impact team collaboration, and they overlap. We'll start by choosing a specific outcome to achieve, so we know we're using the right differences the right way.
There's more than one way to achieve an outcome, but there could be one best way for you. We'll use an approach to deliver results and build team capability to collaborate - whether I'm around or not.
A team on the same page works in an organization probably not on the same page with it. I'll help your team turn its collaboration into effective action within the organization - and to monitor and adjust as it goes.
You can help you team meet today's challenges with simple, situation-based solutions. Read how on my blog page, Things To Read. And listen to how others have done it on my podcast episode page, Things To Listen To.
